The Festival

Held in Brown Park in historic downtown Canton Georgia is the 17th annual Canton Festival of the Arts Festival, May 2 & 3, 2020. The festival is produced by the Cherokee County Arts Center-a 501 (c) 3 non-profit dedicated to enriching community life through the arts-as its primary fundraiser. The festival features the Artist Market, entertainment, food and the Canton Chalk Spot: a sidewalk art display.

The Artist’s Market

The popular Artist’s Market is the centerpiece of Canton Festival of the Arts showcasing more than 50 local and national artists. Visitors will find handcrafted works of art that include paintings, jewelry, pottery, woodworking, glass, sculptures, textile at a variety of price points and styles for purchase. All artists will be onsite to share inspiring stories and some will even demonstrate their craft.

Chalk Walk: Sidewalk Chalk Art Display

Aspiring artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate in the Sidewalk Chalk Art Display during the festival from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. daily. Each registered participant will receive one box of chalk. Pre-registration is suggested but walk ups are welcome as long as space and supplies are available. Register by April 24 to receive a $5.00 discount.

Free on street parking is available or in the Cherokee County Courthouse parking deck located at 94 N. Main St.

Festival attendance is free, although a $5 donation per adult and $10 per family is suggested.

The Cherokee Arts Center is located in downtown Canton serving citizens of Canton and surrounding counties. The mission is to enrich the quality of life by promoting, developing and coordinating excellence in the Art. The gallery is free and open to the public and all proceeds from the festival directly support the educational and outreach programs.
